RAID storage expert Infortrend has announced the availability of Firmware version 3.47, the latest firmware upgrade for the company's ASIC266 RAID storage subsystems. RAID storage subsystems in ASIC266 series are available with Firmware v3.47, which provides I/O handling and power management functions designed for audio/visual (A/V) applications. With Firmware, users may migrate configured Logical Drive from RAID5 to RAID6. It is designed for optimal I/O processing and system management and can handle failure of any 2 drives within array. A/V optimization mode maximizes drive response time for no-dropped-frames applications. Firmware v3.47 was first included on the EonStor A16F-G2422 FC-4G to SATA-II, single controller subsystem and will be available on the company's other ASIC266 products such as the ES A24U-G2421 and the recently announced ES A24F-R/G2224 RAID subsystems. These products are available through Infortrend's worldwide network of OEMs, distributors and storage integrators.
